How do I started Calligraphy?

I started calligraphy only a year ago.  All I want that time was to find a hobby as a stress reliever. But I don’t know what I want. Then one day as I was browsing Youtube, I saw a video of a man doing brush calligraphy. It caught my attention. I was amazed on how he write the letters beautifully. Every stroke is like music to my eyes! It was very soothing!  I have this old habit of mine that when I got interested into something, I become totally hooked on it. So I browse and browse all videos, articles and blogs related to brush calligraphy. Practice it. Copy others work. Do it my own style. And that’s how I learned about calligraphy.

Why do I started Callighobby, Calligraphy + Hobby?

The real objective of this blog is to share to aspiring calligraphers the what’s and how’s about calligraphy. In this world of digital age calligraphy is somehow my way of digital detox .

I don’t claimed that I am an expert in calligraphy. There are lot of good calligraphers out there better than me. There are lot of things I need to learn. Sometimes when I write, I will provide links that will make you understand more about the topic.

But to tell you honestly, teaching others is somehow my passion. That’s why I am sharing this blog to everyone who wants to learn something new like calligraphy. Because I believe that like anybody else, we all start as a beginner. Rock on!

I used brush pen and my new favourite, Pilot Parallel Pen.
